Mid-Range Drinking Driving – No Conviction

Our client was a 24-year-old carpenter. He was charged with Mid Range drink driving. He had been drinking alcohol the night before he was breath tested by police.

Our client worked 6 days a week and was required to travel all across the Hunter Region for his work. He was facing an automatic disqualification period of 12 months. He would have not been able to perform his job and he faced the prospect of the loss of employment.

We enrolled our client in the Traffic Offenders program.

We handed up carefully vetted testimonials on his behalf.

We made submissions on his behalf in the Local Court.

In court, we persuaded the judge to deal with the matter by way of a section 10 good behaviour bond.

Our client was not convicted of the offence. He was not disqualified from driving. He received no penalty. This meant our client could continue to perform his employment.
